Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of home and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with various appliance brands and models, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with household and commercial appliances including refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washers, dryers, and more. Perform timely and efficient on-site repairs and maintenance services. Replace faulty parts and test functionality to ensure appliances are working properly. Provide clear and professional communication with customers about repair status, maintenance tips, and any needed follow-ups. Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Maintain tools, parts inventory, and company vehicle (if applicable) in good condition. Follow all safety procedures and protocols during service calls. Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and new technologies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in appliance repair or a related field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for field positions).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy appliances and work in a variety of environments.
- Certification (EPA, NASTeC, or manufacturer-specific) a plus.
Working Conditions
Field-based role with travel to customer homes or businesses. May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
